| Advocates for Children serve 800 children in Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert and Lincoln counties every year. We need your help to ensure that we continue to grow and support the children in our community by having enough volunteers and donations to operate effectively. You don’t have to be a CASA to help, please forward this to anyone who is looking to get involved in their community. LEAD AND CONQUER. Join the Friends of Advocates for Children committee and help come up with ideas and campaigns to help Advocates for Children grow our volunteer and donor base. The committee meets one time each month! DONATE. The YPP mantra is "Small Change, Changing The World". Donations of all sizes make a difference! BE THE HOST WITH THE MOST. Host a wine party. Invite a group of your friends over and ask each of them to bring 2 bottles of wine and $20. One bottle of wine gets opened and tasted, the other gets set aside. As the wine is being tasted your guests score the wine. The winner gets to bring home everyone’s second bottle of wine as a prize. The $20 gets donated to CASA Advocates for Children. We have additional information and resources if you are interested in hosting your own wine party! IT’S NOT WHAT YOU KNOW, IT’S WHO YOU KNOW. Talk to the other people in your life…we all have other things we are involved in for example associations, churches, HOAs, Clubs, etc. Ask if there would be a time for a CASA representative to present information to members WORK IT. Does your company have a nonprofit program? Many companies partner with nonprofits to contribute funds and encourage employees to volunteer. Ask your HR department if your company does or would be willing to do anything to encourage volunteering. BE A GRASSROOTS GURU. We have posters, fliers, brochures, blue ribbons for child abuse awareness month and more! If you find yourself with extra time on your hands please consider helping us get information out to local businesses. SO SIMPLE, DINE FOR A CAUSE. Help secure a restaurant that will donate 15% of a day’s sales to Advocates for Children. Advocates for Children will submit press releases, promote the event and be there the day of to answer any questions and talk up the restaurant. A win-win for all parties involved! PARTY LIKE IT’S 2009. Advocates for Children and YPP have many events throughout the year. Spread the word to your family, friends, colleagues, church, hairdresser, doctor and anyone else who will listen. Our events are a huge source of fundraising for us and the more people who support us the more children we can help!! EACH ONE, REACH ONE. Tell one person every week about CASA and see our program grow. Those personal one-on-one connections make a BIG impact!
