ABOUT YPP

The Young Philanthropist Project (YPP) was created by a group of philanthropists in their 20s and 30s in an effort to reach out to the community in support of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA Advocates for Children). The group’s goal is to raise awareness about CASA in a way that allows participants to have fun, network and give back to the community in ways other then just donating money. The YPP encourages everyone to find out how incredible giving back can be!

The Young Philanthropist Project strives to create events that are fresh and appealing to young people interested in making a difference. Our events are not only a fun and exciting way to raise funds for CASA Advocates for Children, but they also provide exceptional networking opportunities for young professionals and philanthropists. Whether you are new to Denver or a Colorado native, attending YPP events is a great way to meet others and become involved in your community.

ABOUT CASA

How do CASA volunteers help child abuse victims? Unlike other professionals involved in these cases, CASA volunteers serve on only one case at a time and often spend several hours each month getting to know the children. That’s why the court has come to rely on the input of CASA volunteers when making decisions about the children’s future. Only CASA volunteers can provide the detailed observations and recommendations that help Judges ensure the best interests of the children are served.

If you have ever been interested in making a difference in the life of a child abuse victim, then here’s a golden opportunity. Since 1985, Advocates for Children has been serving child abuse victims in Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert and Lincoln counties. Thanks to the commitment of our caring volunteers, over 90 percent of our cases conclude with the children settled in safe, permanent homes.

Whether you’re ready to become a CASA volunteer or would like to support Advocates for Children in other ways, call us today at 303.695.1882 to find out how you can make a difference in the life of a child.
